There is a google in China but "baidu.cn" came out 5 years before google started its services to China. The creator of Baidu, a middle aged farmers son. He went to the U.S.A to get a better education and to learn English. Baidu has some problems like free mp3 downloads, a different way to search the web than google (inconsistent), but China doesn't mind. Bigger community which means constant traffic and an active community. Baidu is bigger than google for now in China. I wonder how long it will take google to catch on.
